We take our data protection responsibilities with the utmost seriousness and we have designed our Website so that you may navigate and use our Website without having to provide personal data. If personal data is collected, for example in the context of a query, this is done on a voluntary basis. Despite careful monitoring of content, we cannot accept any responsibility for external links to third-party content.
We collect, process, and use your personal data by this Privacy and Cookies Policy and compliance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, the Swiss Ordinance to the Federal Act on Data Protection, and the General European Data Protection Regulation (“Applicable Laws”).

3.- How we use personal data


3.1. When visiting our website
We collect and use your personal data exclusively when you visit/use our Website. In the following paragraphs, we will inform you about the type, scope, and purpose of gathering and using personal data. We will only use your personal data for the purposes listed below. You can access this information at any time on our Website. Transfer and recording of data for internal record-keeping and statistical purposes. For technical reasons, when you access our Website, your internet browser automatically transmits some data to our server. This is data such as date and time of access, URL of the referring website, pages viewed, amount of data sent, browser type and version, operating system as well as your IP address. This data is stored. We can't associate this data with any specific person. This data is used for statistical purposes only and deleted afterward.

If you provide us with personal information (for example through our contact form), we gather, store, and use this only to answer your queries and for any follow-up questions and technical administration.

5.6. You have the right to object
You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time, to the processing of personal data concerning you, which is based on point (e) or (f) of Article 6(1) of the General European Data Protection Regulation. This also applies to profiling based on these provisions.

The Company shall no longer process the personal data in the event of the objection unless the Company can demonstrate reasonable grounds for the processing, which override the interests, rights, and freedoms of you, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. To exercise the right to object, you may directly contact the responsible person.

 

5.7. You have the right to withdraw data protection consent
You have the right to withdraw your consent to processing your personal data at any time. If you wish to exercise the right to withdraw the consent, you may at any time directly contact the responsible person as stated in section 2.

 

6.- Duration of the storage
The Company will process and store the personal data of the data subject only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of storage, or as far as this is granted by the Applicable Laws and regulations. In the storage, the purpose is not applicable, or if a storage period prescribed by the Applicable Laws expires, the personal data is routinely erased by the legal requirements.

 

7.- Minors
The Company does not knowingly collect or use any personal data from minors. A minor may be able to willingly share personal information with others, depending on the products and/or media channels used. If a minor provides us with their information without the consent of their parents or guardian, we will ask the parent or guardian to contact us to delete that information.

 

8.- Registration for our newsletter

 

8.1. If you have agreed to subscribe to our newsletter, we will send this newsletter to the email address you have provided. Our newsletter will regularly update you with news, dates, and other initiatives. The name and email address you provide for receiving the newsletter will be solely used by us. In no way will your data be passed on to third parties of any kind.

 

8.2. You can of course unsubscribe to the newsletter at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each newsletter or by contacting us via email at hello@chain4travel.com. After unsubscribing your personal data will be deleted.

 

8.3. We use web beacons, tracking pixels, and other technologies to track and analyze your interactions with the newsletter. This data is allocated to your e-mail address and pseudonymized ID. We use this data to generate a user profile to personalize the newsletter for you.

You can object to this at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided in each e-mail or by contacting our data protection officer.

Newsletter tracking is not possible if you've deactivated image viewing by default in your e-mail application. In this case, the newsletter will not be displayed in full and you won’t be able to use all the features. If you display images manually, tracking will occur.

 

9.- Data protection declaration for the use of LinkedIn
We use the plugin provided by the social network LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The plugin is recognizable as the “LinkedIn” logo and the “Share” button on our website. When you click on the “LinkedIn” button or the “Share” button on our pages or access content whilst you are logged into your LinkedIn account, you link our website content with your LinkedIn profile. Through this, LinkedIn will receive the information that you have visited our website with your IP address. In this way, LinkedIn can associate your visit with your user account. We do not receive information about the content of this transmitted data or its usage from LinkedIn. 10.- Social Media
We may use plug-ins from social networks such as Blog, GitHub, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or Medium, and Meetups on our Website. When you activate them by clicking on them, the operators of the respective social networks may record that you are on our Website and may use this information. This processing of your personal data lays the responsibility of these individual social media platforms and occurs according to their privacy policy. Please check with these individual social media platforms.

Regarding their privacy policies. The Company is not responsible for data collected by these individual social media platforms. We only use these platforms to inform our community of updates and answer user questions.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any changes, we will change the Last Updated date above.
